Russ Hodges' cry couldn't be more appropriate. And Giants fans couldn't be happier. The shot heard around the world, the catch and other great giant moments it's time to welcome in one more...the beard.No single image defines the giants so much as the bullpens atrocious beards. In fact, the entire teams hair has gone haywire! But that's what we love about this team. Torture baseball and all, this group of guys is as lovable as their team mascot, kung fu panda.
Forget your east coast bias (yes, despite what ESPN's obsession has led you to believe, there is something besides yanks vs sox). Ignore the opinion of the experts (you know, the ones who all picked Atlanta and Philly to win?). And put the image of Barry Bonds far from your minds. This team is easily the most exciting and most random team left in the playoffs.
The fans are primed to celebrate again. Come on giants..it's time to give one to San Francisco!
